Company XIV presents an adults-only revival of NUTCRACKER ROUGE, the sexy hit holiday show conceived, directed and choreographed by Drama Desk Award nominee Austin McCormick. NUTCRACKER ROUGE runs from November 21 - January 7 in a limited 7-week engagement as part of XIV's pop-up season at The Irondale Center, located at 85 South Oxford Street between Fulton Street and Lafayette Avenue in Brooklyn, NY. New York Festival of Song's contemporary song series NYFOS Next -- dubbed 'invaluable' by The New Yorker and The New York Times -- enters its sixth season and continues its new format: a three-concert February mini-festival in the intimate state-of-the-art recital hall at OPERA America's National Opera Center. The Thursday concerts take place today, February 4, as well as February 11, and 18, 2016 at 7:00 p.m.

I recently caught Mr. McCormick's premiere of 'Cinderella' and was fascinated by his work. It was the first time I'd seen one of his productions and was entranced by his unique storytelling through dance and much more! From the clever and outrageous costumes right down to the atmospheric setting throughout the theatre space, it's all one delicious artistic confection.
