Aden Kent Ramsey

BIO

Aden Kent Ramsey is an active composer of musical theatre and film in the NYC area. Ramsey wrote the score to the musical comedy, The Curious Contents of Christie’s Wastebasket, which was recently selected by the Emerging Artists Theatre for a workshop performance as part of the Fall New Works Series (October 2019) and also workshopped/performed by the Berklee Theatre Arts Collaborative at Berklee College of Music (May 2018). Ramsey’s music has been featured in master classes with Marvin Hamlisch and most recently, Maury Yeston. Ramsey served as a resident member of “The Collective” at the Musical Theatre Development Lab at 92Y (2018/19) where he further developed the family musical, SUGAR RUSH, with Sujin Kim-Ramsey and Daphny Maman. In addition to musical theatre, Ramsey has written songs and dramatic music with orchestrations for the ESL children's book series, English Egg. Emerging Artists Theatre Announces Week One Line-Up For NEW WORK SERIES

Emerging Artists Theatre presents their bi annual New Work Series. The series runs October 2 - 20 at TADA Theater and features new work from a diverse group of artists. Tickets range between $10 - $20 with shows running nightly.

The Emerging Artists Theatre's New Work Series will kick off it's Fall 2019 season with THE CURIOUS CONTENTS OF CHRISTIE'S WASTEBASKET, a musical comedy by writer/lyricist Janine Robledo and composer Aden Kent Ramsey. Following a reading at the Two River Theater in Red Bank and a workshop production by the Berklee Theater Arts Collaborative in Boston, The Curious Contents... returns to New York City for the first time since its inception at the graduate musical theater writing program at NYU's Tisch School of the Arts. Robledo and Ramsey's collaborative works have been performed at The Duplex, 54 Below, The Royal Family Arts Theater, The Manhattan Movement and Arts Center, Cafe 939, and The Goodspeed Opera House.

Fantasy Theatre Factory invites you to join South Florida Theatre League for Student Stages of the Sun: Plays by Student Playwrights at the Sandrell Rivers Theater. The play reading is part of SFTL's Summer Theatre Fest 2019 and brings to life short plays written by college and high school students from South Florida. It is the only reading in Summer Theatre Fest specifically dedicated to developing young voices in our community!

92Y announces a new Musical Theater Development Lab for 2018-2019. The Lab has chosen 13 musical theater artists at various stages of their careers - book writers, composers and lyricists - in creating new Theater for Young Audiences productions. Special industry guests include Tony Award-winning composer Maury Yeston (Nine, Titanic), who presents song critique, as well as licensing professionals offering an inside look at the economics of writing for young audiences.
