The McCallum Theatre announced today that one of entertainment's most beloved performers, multiple Grammy Award-winning country music superstar and lifestyle entrepreneur Trisha Yearwood , will headline its Annual Fundraising Gala to be held on Wednesday, December 5. The always eagerly-awaited annual event will honor leaders of one of the Valley's most philanthropic organizations, The H.N. and Frances C. Berger Foundation Board of Directors and President, Ronald M. Auen for their longstanding commitment to enhancing the quality of life in the Coachella Valley.

Invitations for the performance and pre-show dinner at one of four restaurants will be mailed in October. The restaurants are Cuistot, Jillian's, La Spiga and Wally's Desert Turtle. Sponsorships start at $500 and may be obtained by contacting Nicole Moon, Manager of Events at (760) 776-6186 or nmoon@mccallum-theatre.org.

The co-chairs of the 2018 McCallum Theatre Annual Gala are Helene Galen, Harold Matzner and Jan Salta.

Proceeds from this annual fundraising event help fund McCallum Theatre operations as well as arts education programs that bring training in theatre, dance, music, and visual arts to more than 300 classrooms and 40,000 schoolchildren and educators each year at no cost to them. These funds also make it possible to continue to bring world-class performances to over 150,000 residents and visitors to the Coachella Valley annually.

The evening's Honorees are the extraordinary Board of Directors of The H. N. and Frances C. Berger Foundation and its President Ronald M. Auen. For more than thirty years, The H.N. and Frances C. Berger Foundation have been "helping people help themselves" by making incalculable contributions to the quality of life in the Coachella Valley and around the United States, including nearly $6 million dollars to the McCallum Theatre.

Through generous grants to healthcare, social services, education, and cultural organizations, the Foundation has been a significant force in building and supporting innovative programs that have transformed thousands of lives. McCallum Theatre is grateful for the Foundation's longstanding support and is honored to shine a well-deserved spotlight on its significant work.
