BWW Preview: May the Fourth Fest Returns to Riverside
Riverside's May the 4th Fest - the annual unofficial party for "Star Wars" fans - returns, when else, on Friday, May 4, 2018, at the Riverside Municipal Auditorium 3485 Mission Inn Avenue, Riverside, CA.
For those who can't understand why fans of the beloved film series have chosen this particular date for an annual commemoration, say the iconic good-by blessing with a lisp, and you'll figure it out. (No, not the one about living a long and prosperous life - that's from the other sci-fi universe).
The Riverside Fest will feature professional costume groups, live action stunts, an Alien Cantina Band, Hip Hop Trooper, saber training, Star Girls, a comedy roast hosted by TheGeekGatsby, DJ Chuck None, and a tribute to the beloved late actor who played the princess in the early films and later, the general. Attendees can check out the sci-fi inspired art exhibit, shopping bazaar, live music and a cosplay competition hosted by cosplayer and influencer Elizabeth Rage. Cosplay attire is strongly encouraged and rewarded. Embark on an epic encounter between the light and the dark... choose your own side!
The event is open to all ages.
