BWW Preview: JIM BORAX'S CALIFORNIA CABARET Will Appear at the Rancho Mirage Amphitheater on November 10, 2021

When I reviewed Jim Borax's CALIFORNIA CABARET for Broadway World a few years ago, I called it "a hidden gem that I hope more people get to see." /palm-springs/article/BWW-Review-JIM-BORAXS-CALIFORNIA-CABARET-is-a-Gem-20181022.

Now, the Rancho Mirage based entertainment company that has performed at multiple venues throughout Southern California and has been featured on KESQ and CNN and in the L.A. Times, is coming to the Rancho Mirage Amphitheater. The musical performance will take place at 7 pm on Wednesday, November 10, 2021. The concert's sponsor is the Rancho Mirage Library and Observatory, and is free to the public.

The performers include McCallum open stage winner Melissa Batallés, who is an opera singer; Broadway performer Perry Ojeda; recording artist Troy Clarke; and singers and dancers Mary Ann Hermansen, Damon Kirsche, and Palmer Davis (a former Rockette). Selections will include numbers from the Great American Songbook and from such hit Broadway shows as CHICAGO, MY FAIR LADY, and CABARET. Additionally, the program will feature beloved classics such as Mack The Knife, Fly Me to The Moon, The Lady is a Tramp, and even Puccini's Nessun Dorma.

The Rancho Mirage Amphitheater is located at 71560 SAN JACINTO Drive, in Rancho Mirage. Admission is free, and no reservations are required. The performance will run for 75 minutes, with no intermission.
