Playwrights Round Table (PRT) presents its 19th annual 10-minute play festival LAUNCH 2020, running Friday, January 17th to Sunday, January 26th and presents eight groundbreaking new works from playwrights across the country, including a Critics Choice winner of the 2018 Orlando Fringe Festival, Katie Thayer and PRTs 2018 Audience Choice winner, Bethany Dickens.The two weekend event gives patrons the rare opportunity to participate in the creative process by voting on their favorite piece, the winner receiving a PRT Audience Choice 2019 award following the final performance. Tickets to LAUNCH 2020 may be purchased online at https://www.orlandoatplay.com/event/launch-2020/ or in person prior to show-time outside the Santos Dantin Studio Theater at the Lowndes Shakespeare Center (cc). PRT tickets are $20 (general admission) and $15 (students, seniors 55+, military with ID). This seasons lineup includes new works from Ava Love Hanna, Jackie Martin, Peter Dakutis, Dan ODay, Adam Szudrich, Katie Thayer, Bethany Dickens, and Molly Smith (winner of PRTs 1st Annual Play Award for Youth 2019)."PRT is an amazing incubator for local writers like me and Ive grown substantially through my involvement with the organization, said Bethany Dickens, Orlando Playwright and member of PRTs Board of Directors.
