Winter Park Playhouse Sings and Dances into the New Year with BABES IN HOLLYWOOD: THE MUSIC OF GARLAND AND ROONEY

The Winter Park Playhouse continues to sing and dance its way into the hearts of audiences with their latest hit in a series of professional musicals with the Florida premiere of, Babes In Hollywood: The Music of Garland and Rooney. Performances are Friday and Saturday evenings at 7:30p.m., Thursday andSaturday matinee performances at 2 p.m. and select Friday and Sunday matinees at 2 p.m.

This high energy, all singing, all dancing musical pays tribute to two of Hollywood's most-adored performers - Judy Garland and Mickey Rooney - and their legendary careers! Tap dancing and singing the famous numbers from the classic Garland and Rooney repertoire, this show will captivate audiences as it highlights the careers of these legendary icons and their journey from the soundstages of Hollywood to the stages of Broadway!

This popular show features over 30 timeless hits like "Over the Rainbow," Meet Me In St. Louis," "That's Entertainment," "Easter Parade," "Strike Up The Band" and many more!

The professional cast includes Broadway veteran Melissa Minyard, Lea Marinelli, Ken Tibeau and Gavin Waters. Playhouse Artistic Director Roy Alan will direct and choreograph the production, Christopher Leavy will music direct and The Playhouse Trio will accompany the show, with Musical Director Christopher Leavy on piano, Sam Forrest on percussion and Ned Wilkinson on multiple instruments.
