Theatre Downtown Presents THE CRUCIBLE, 9/17

Theatre Downtown will present Arthur Miller's THE CRUCIBLE, September 17 - October 9. Performances are Thursday, Friday and Saturday at 8 p.m. and Sundays, September 19 and October 3 at 2:30 p.m.

Tickets are $18 for adults and $15 for students and seniors.

Theatre Downtown production of the Arthur Miller drama set amid the puritan witch hunts in Salem, Mass.

Theatre Downtown is a local community theater located in a converted citrus packing plant with a huge cozy lobby and a bar that serves up cheap beer and wine (and occasionally Irish whiskey courtesy if Frank the Artistic Director). They even let you take drinks into the theater. The theater is an intimate space with three quarter thrust, so the audience is right on top of the action. Their shows range from classic musical like "West Side Story" to new dramas like "Take Me Out." They also do a production of "A Christmas Carol" every year.
