Sunday Funday At Orlando Shakes Brings The Party To The Theater

Sunday Funday At Orlando Shakes Brings The Party To The TheaterTheater goers can now step up their matinee game at Orlando Shakes' brand new event! On four select Sunday matinees, Orlando Shakes invites the culturally curious to see the magic of theater in a whole new way at a themed pre-show bash. Tickets ($40 includes the pre-show party and performance) are available now by phone (407) 447-1700 ext. 1, online at orlandoshakes.org, or in person at the John and Rita Lowndes Shakespeare Center (812 East Rollins Street). Use code word FUNDAY.

For the first ever Orlando Shakes Sunday Funday, the theater invites guests to gather their whole crew for a Latin street party themed pre-show. Attendees will enjoy a complimentary signature cocktail and light bites in the theater's private scene shop, followed by a matinee performance of Lin-Manuel Miranda's In the Heights.

Subsequent Sunday Funday events will have different themes and signature cocktails inspired by the individual production. This event will give patrons the opportunity to mix and mingle with other theater buffs, as well as gain backstage access for a truly unique experience.

"If you're the event planner of your crew, this is where you want to bring the entire squad for the ultimate Sunday Funday," says Director of Development Dana Nichols. "You will impress your friends with a one of a kind party that takes place in our scene shop, taste delicious eats from Chela and take a seat in the best selfie spot in town, Van Cam."
