Photo Flash: Winter Park Playhouse Presents the World Premiere of GIGOLO: THE NEW COLE PORTER REVUE

The Winter Park Playhouse continues its tradition of excellence for producing professional musical theatre with a World Premiere as its season opener - Gigolo: The New Cole Porter Revue. This exceptional new work was featured in the theatre's inaugural Florida Festival of New Musicals last summer, and now takes the stage for its first fully produced run July 27 - August 19. Performances are Friday and Saturday evenings at 7:30 p.m., Thursday and Saturday matinee performances at 2 p.m.and select Friday and Sunday matinees at 2 p.m.
Created by Paul Gilger, with music arrangements and orchestrations by Ned Wilkinson, Gigolo: The New Cole Porter Revue tells the story of a handsome playboy and his relationships with four beautiful women. Inspired by the real life story of Porfirio Rubirosa, this musical revue tells its intricate story through Cole Porter's lyrics. Gigolo features a score of popular Porter classics including "It's De-Lovely," "You're The Top," "Let's Do It," "Night And Day,"and many more!
The professional cast includes Broadway veteran Melissa Minyard, Actors' Equity veterans Natalie Cordone, Kelly Morris Rowan and Zach Nadolski, and Playhouse newcomer Alyssa Flowers. Playhouse Artistic Director Roy Alan will direct and choreograph, Christopher Leavy will music direct. The Playhouse Trio will accompany with Musical Director Christopher Leavy on piano, Sam Forrest on percussion and Ned Wilkinson on multiple instruments.

Ticket prices are $42 evenings, $39 senior evenings, $34 matinees, $20 preview, $15 student and theatrical industry professionals. Student rush "$10@10" offers $10 tickets (for students 25 years and younger) 10 minutes prior to a performance when seats are available.
