Manatee Players to Receive American Association of Community Theatre Award
The Manatee Players has been chosen to receive the Twink Lynch Award at AACT's New York Convention in July. The Twink Lynch award recognizes AACT member theatres for successfully completing major steps in new directions, expanding services to their community, or moving to the next level of organizational development. The award is named for a nationally recognized community theatre consultant and author of the book "Boards in the Spotlight", which outlines her experience in helping nonprofit boards.
The awards program will be held at the Hudson Theatre in the Millennium Broadway Hotel on Saturday night, July 14th.
The American Association of Community Theatre (AACT) provides networking, resources and support to suit the needs of those involved in community theatre. AACT represents the interests of more than 7,000 theatres across the United States and its territories, as well as theatre companies with the armed services overseas.
