Dance Theatre Of Orlando Presents CHOSEN

Dance Theatre of Orlando will perform its spring show, "Chosen," March 9-11, and tickets are now on sale.

This original production, created by company founder and Artistic Director Marshall Ellis, is a fusion of dance styles: contemporary, ballet, hip hop and jazz. It showcases popular music with an urban feel, and it will give audiences a fresh new perspective on live performance.

The show features Ellis's professional company, Dance Theatre of Orlando, and includes numbers by his pre-professional company, ME2.

The shows will begin at 7:30 nightly at ME Theatre, 1300 La Quinta Drive in Orlando. Tickets are available online at dancetheatreoforlando.com. The cost is $20.

Ellis is the founder and owner of Marshall Ellis Dance School and artistic director of Dance Theatre of Orlando, started in 2011. He has trained, traveled and danced around the world, performing solo and principal roles throughout Europe, Asia and the United States. He is a former principal dancer for Orlando Ballet, Cirque du Soleil - La Nouba, and the Walt Disney World shows "Beauty and the Beast Live on Stage" and "Festival of the Lion King."

Dance Theatre of Orlando is funded through ME Dance, Inc., a non-profit organization that serves as a beacon of light in the Central Florida arts community. The mission of ME Dance, Inc. is to introduce innovative ideas through dance, to create growth in the arts community and to provide an outlet to feature talent in art through entertainment.
