THE MUSICAL ADVENTURES OF FLAT STANLEY will take audiences around the globe from The Rose main stage, April 1-17. The amusing, fast-paced musical is based on the popular children's book series by JefF Brown.

Stanley Lambchop is an ordinary 10-year-old boy until one night, the bulletin board above his bed falls on him and he wakes up flat as a pancake! Lucky for Stanley, his dreams of traveling the world to do something amazing can come true, now that he can fold right into an envelope and mail himself to anywhere he pleases with only a postage stamp.

Audiences will join Stanley on his hilarious musical journey to Hollywood, Paris, Hawaii and beyond! The question is: will Stanley become three-dimensional once more?

The Rose Theater is one of the first theaters in the United States to produce THE MUSICAL ADVENTURES OF FLAT STANLEY. The play is written by Timothy A. McDonald, based on JefF Brown's book series begun in the 1960s.

The music is one of the highlights of Flat Stanley's journey. The sophisticated, upbeat songs are performed by the 25 characters (cast of five actors) under the direction of Jerry Brabec who has musically directed a number of well-received main stage productions at The Rose including PINKALICIOUS - THE MUSICAL earlier this season.

Costume designer Sherri Geerdes is designing the wardrobe for the actors' many impressive costume changes, including the soft-sculpture costume to make Flat Stanley -well - ‘flat.'
