The Omaha Community Playhouse presents the 1930s and 40s musical All Night Strut! A Jumpin' Jivin' Jam, opening tonight, March 1, 2013 in the Hawks Mainstage, directed by Susan Baer Collins.

Experience the greatest music of the "greatest generation" with a new twist! All Night Strut! A Jumpin' Jivin' Jam is a musical and dance spectacle featuring music of the Great Depression, World War II and the post-war boom. Enjoy the music of the legends Hoagy Carmichael, Duke Ellington, Cab Calloway, Frank Loesser, Jerome Kern and more. Dance numbers from Busby Berkeley-style tap to Swing, infused with Jazz and Hip Hop give this show high-energy flair. This musical revue will invigorate your senses as you relive the classy, sassy 1930s and 1940s!

The production runs tonight, March 1-30, 2013, Wednesday-Saturday, 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, 2 p.m., at the Omaha Community Playhouse, located at 6915 Cass Street in Omaha, Nebraska.

The Omaha Community Playhouse is supported in part by the Nebraska Arts Council, the Nebraska Cultural Endowment and the Douglas County Board of Commissioners. Established in 1924, the Omaha Community Playhouse is the largest community theatre in the United States based on memberships sold and facility size, among other factors. The organization is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit.
