Theatre Tulsa Continues Broadway Series With Stephen Sondheim's A LITTLE NIGHT MUSIC

Fresh off its massively successful productions of "The Music Man" and "August: Osage County," Theatre Tulsa will produce Stephen Sondheim's "A Little Night Music" as the next selection in its 97th season Broadway Series.

"A Little Night Music" is a musical featuring music and lyrics by Sondheim and book by Hugh Wheeler. Inspired by the Ingmar Bergman film "Smiles of a Summer Night," the show follows the romantic lives of several European couples. The musical is best well-known for the popular song "Send In the Clowns".

"This is another classic from Sondheim that needed to be brought to Tulsa," said Jarrod Kopp, executive director of Theatre Tulsa. "It's a mesmerizing, passionate period piece that still has the power to enchant audiences."

Theatre Tulsa's production is directed by Jeremy Stevens, one of Tulsa's most-renowned actors and music directors.

The show stars Scott Black as Fredrik Egerman, Sonnet Lamb as Anne Egerman, Sam Briggs as Henrik Egerman, Kristen Simpson as Petra, Cathy Rose as Desiree Armfeldt, Madelyn Degraffenreid as Fredrika Armfeldt, Kim Frie as Madame Armfeldt, Steven Osborn as Count Carl-Magnus Malcolm, Karlena Riggs as Countess Charlotte Malcolm, Troy Cope as Frid, Jacob Bush as Bertrand, Paulette Record as Osa and Lucia McFarland as Malla. Paige Dickey, Lydia Gray, Natalie Iden, Powell Barca and Robert Young comprise the Quintet

Performances will be March 13-22 in the Williams Theatre of the Tulsa PAC. Showtimes on March 13, 14, 20, and 21 are at 8pm. The matinees on March 15, 21, and 22 will be at 2pm. Tickets are available beginning at tulsapac.com or by calling 918-596-7111.
