Sherwin Miller Museum Hosts Exhibition on Burton Silverman, 7/8-9/1
By: Nicolas Coburn
The Sherwin Miller Museum in Tulsa, Oklahoma hosts a retrospective exhibition of artist Burton Silverman.
From July 8th through September 1st, 2010 the museum will exhibit a selection of Silverman's paintings that were completed over the last decade.
Silverman is devoted to an examination of the everyday world and a recording of the people who are generally anonymous in a celebrity culture. He intuitively elicits the sense of a life lived in his portraits. The paintings are acutely human, psychologically intense and beautifully painted.
