Have you ever wondered what it would be like to really LIVE in color? What would it be like to wear one color every day for a week, a month or even a year?Performance artist, Darlinda Just Darlinda is fresh off her second foray into a Year in Rainbow. 2007-2008 and 2020-2021 Darlinda made her life as an interactive art work called Year in Rainbow. She created a rainbow for her world by wearing one color every other month and rainbow on the alternate months in a 6 month format according to the order of colors on a rainbow: Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue and Purple.In 2007-2008 every month she would create a live show that incorporated the color of the month. In 2020-2021 due to the pandemic she created an experimental video for every month in addition to documenting her life on a daily blog.Darlinda brings you Year in Rainbow Live, the BEST of Year in Rainbow, incorporating previous works from One Woman Rainbow (Joes Pub 2019), collaborators from past Year in Rainbows and NEW and special Guests: : Ashton Muñiz, Diana Oh, Nicholas Gorham, Nyx Nocturne, Vic Sin, and Zoe Ziegfeld! !Join us for a colorful jaunt, a year concentrated into one night for YEAR in RAINBOW LIVE!

Diana Oh

Diana Oh (they) is an open channel to the art that feels good to their body and is driven most by mutual care, pleasure, and keeping things heart-centered. Oh is also a Creator of Performance, Installation, Music, Concert, Documentary Film Multi-Media Wizard Phoenix Hybrid Art, Gatherings, Ritual, Party, and New Mediums. Oh also identifies as a Clairvoyant (a title passed onto them by their political revolutionist and persecuted South Korean father). ​Passionate about healing and queering processes, Oh is a Refinery29 Top LGBTQ Influencer, and the First Queer Korean-American interviewed on Korean Broadcast Radio. They are the Creator and Co-Director of The Infinite Love Party (an intentional barefoot, potluck dinner, dance party, and sleepover for QTPOC and Their Allies, Bushwick Starr. NYTimes), {my lingerie play} (ten underground national performance installations in my lingerie staged in an effort to provide a safer, more courageous world for women, queer, trans, and non-binary humans to live in culminating into a concert of Oh's music: Rattlestick Playwrights Theater, TOW and Creative Capital Fellowship Recipient, NYTimes), CLAIRVOYANCE (an installation, concert, and tree-planting series centering Queer Magic in Harvard Yard, the Boston Public Library, The Institute of Contemporary Art, The Harvard Arboretum produced by A.R.T.), Asian People Are Not Magicians (mic.com), My H8 Letter to the Gr8 American Theatre (The Public Theater), and The Dope North Star Workshop. Their work has been featured on The National, Huffington Post, People, Upworthy, MTV, npr, VICE and they have been interviewed on the floor of the New York Stock Exchange about why Catcalling Sucks. They are a Sundance Institute Fellow, a TOW Fellow, NY Community Trust Helen Merrill Award Recipient, Art Equity Fellow, and a Steinberg Award Recipient. Ashton Muńiz

Ashton Muñiz (They/He) is a queer actor, performance artist, activist and producer based in New York. Ashton’s goal through artistic work is to continue to instill joy into the world by embracing the realities of the present. Muñiz is a co-founder of Legacy: A Black Queer Production Collective. Recent acting credits include The Inheritance (Broadway), Taylor Mac’s 24-Decade History of Popular Music (The Kimmel Center/St. Ann’s Warehouse/Pomegranate Arts), Esai’s Table (Cherry Lane), And She Would Stand Like This (Movement Theatre Company). Recently, Ashton has collaborated with various artists and featured in their works at The Guggenheim (Machine Dazzle), Art Institute Chicago/Swiss Institute/New Museum (Cally Spooner), Biennial Performa/Lehmann Maupin (Nicholas Hlobo) & Pace Gallery (Lilleth Glimcher). Additionally, Ashton has danced for Marc Jacobs FW 2020 (Karole Armitage), A$AP Rocky (Lab Rat-Sotheby’s), Rihanna (MTV VMAs 2016). Ashton received training at Ithaca College, Moscow Arts Theatre School, Shakespeare & Co. @arshton @legacy.bqpc

Darlinda is a Performance Artist, Actor, Model, Burlesque Performer, Comedian and Producer based in New York City and she's internationally toured Australia, Canada, Hong Kong, England, Finland, France, Germany, Iceland, & Sweden! Darlinda creates original performance art: year long “life as art” project Year in Rainbow , Her Dance Theater Work: Untitled Rainbow Project, One Woman Rainbow, year in rainbow live (may 2, 2022) at Joe’s Pub. Darlinda performs Off Broadway, Film and Television! with Taylor Mac in A 24-Decade History of Popular Music (MacArthur Fellowship) The Lily’s Revenge(Obie) and The 29th Annual Roots of American Music Festival at Lincoln Center, The Cockettes "Cocktail of Glamour and Anarchy" at Lincoln Center. She can be found on television/film in: These Thems, accommodations, The Marvelous Mrs Maisel, Boardwalk Empire, The Other F Word Series, Betty and BIZARRE the film. Darlinda is one half of the Burlesque duo The Schlep Sisters, co producing such shows as The 15th Annual Menorah Horah and The Burning Bush vs. The Second Coming. The schlep sisters can also be seen in Getting Naked: A Burlesque Story Darlinda is a resident artist in Blunderland, hitting stages at London’s Underbelly, Adelaide Fringe, and Bethnel Green Working Men’s Club. Darlinda has produced a variety of shows, some The New York Times called "Shockingly Explicit!" She's a regular performer at the superb NYC venues like The Slipper Room, House of Yes, and Paradise Club at Times Square Edition. Darlinda is a faculty member at the New York School of Burlesque, has Lectured at Yale's infamous Sex Week and also teaches internationally! She has competed and performed as a soloist and as part of The Schlep Sisters at The Burlesque Hall of Fame in Las Vegas. The Sundance Channel made Darlinda a “Top 10 Badass Burlesque Babe,” she was voted in the Top 50 International Burlesque Industry Figures of 2011-2014! Darlinda is the recipient of the Golden Pastie Award for The Most Innovative and Creative. The first and multiple winner of The Brooklyn Nightlife Awards:Best Burlesque Dancer!
