There will be a Special Reading of "The Believers" by Robert Carroll on Sunday, February 8th at the BAM Fisher Building in the Fishman Theater 321 Ashland Place Brooklyn, NY 11217 (between the Opera House and the Williamsburg Saving Bank Building). There will be a reception at 3:00 pm with the Staged Reading at 3:30 p.m. "The Believers" cast for Staged Reading includes: Taylor Miller*, Joe Danbusky*, Ted McGuinness*, Laura Bozzone*, Christopher Bellant*, and Patrick Melville* (* Appearing courtesy of Actors' Equity Association). The Sound Design and Original Music is by Matt Otto. The Special Reading is being presented by the New York Law School. On the eve of the New York City Democratic Primary, Martin Levin has spread another lie about his opponent Eugene Johnson. Two years of work are now in jeopardy and Chris Connor, Eugene Johnson's brilliant young campaign manager, must decide if he will retaliate and how far he will go. Chris and his team wrestle over this until unexpected events change everything. What do you believe in? And how far will you go to further those beliefs?

Robert Carroll, is playwright, actor, lawyer and current President of Central Brooklyn Independent Democrats (CBID). Robert's play The Believers (political thriller during the first few hours of Primary Day) had it's world premiere at The Storm Theatre in the Fall of 2014. Robert is also the author of a T.V. pilot "Reasonable Doubt" (two actors tricked into going to law school), and is currently working on his next play The Colonization of Atlantic Avenue. Robert's has worked as an actor with a number of companies in NYC including The Storm Theatre, PharaPlay Productions, been in the Riant-Strawberry One Act Festival and The New York International Fringe Festival. A graduate of SUNY Binghamton and New York Law School, he has trained at Stella Adler Studios, The Atlantic Theatre and with Austin Pendleton.
