The Micro-Musical Theatre Show's new production of the micro-musical CITY OF LIGHT is now available!

CITY OF LIGHT by Jan Roper (Composer), Julie Weiner (Lyricist), and Gabrielle Wagner Mann (Book Writer) is a new, original musical about honoring the past by choosing to live in the present, thus opening the possibilities of the future.

Winner of Best Score and Best Ensemble at 2018'S SheNYC Festival and featured finalist of Stephen Schwartz's ASCAP Workshop, CITY OF LIGHT is an unforgettable celebration of all things French, with an all-star cast of some of Broadway's best: Krystina Alabado (American Idiot, The Mad Ones, Mean Girls), Jane Blass (Annie, 9 to 5, Hairspray) Jack Cotterell (Little Women, The Magic Flute, The Last Five Years), Anthony Norman (Newsies, PROM), Christopher Rice (The Book of Mormon), Keri Safran (Typhoid Mary, Broadway Under the Stars, Singin' in the Rain), Zach Schanne & Katy Wilson.

CITY OF LIGHT premieres on March 10th 2019 as the first release of The Micro-Musical Theatre Show's 2019 season. It runs 75 minutes. It is a available for a limited time for free then as part of a subscription which also includes: an interview with the creators conducted by WNYC and WQXR's Julian Fleisher of THE NAKED AMERICAN SONGBOOK; additional behind-the-scenes "making of", and more. The Micro-Musical Theatre Show was created by Emmy Award-winning executive producer Alton Christensen. The co-producers are a broadcaster, and former resident composer of NY's acclaimed Signature Theatre Company, Loren Toolajian. Multi-instrumentalist, composer, award-winning, and Emmy nominated sound designer, Ralph Kelsey. Both are co-owners of award-winning Sandblast Productions. The production was recorded at Bunker Studio in Brooklyn. TMMTS is a series of new and original Broadway-style musical productions. Each episode is delivered free as a a limited time then available to paid subscribers with bonus content. It is available on Apple Podcast/ iTunes, Spotify, Google Play (and others). Fans of musicals have the chance to tap into emerging talents of the worlds of Broadway, Off-Broadway, and cabaret in NYC. Subscribers support storytellers, theatre musicians, and actors by giving them the opportunity to have their work heard by thousands of people though this monthly showcase. Theatre and fashion illustrator Stefano Imbert designed the TMMTS logo, and support illustrations including an original theatre poster for each episode.
