Target Margin Theater Up Next in La MaMa 'Coffeehouse Chronicles' Series

By:

Spend an intimate afternoon celebrating the life and work of Target Margin Theater. The event, moderated by Rinne Groff, features panelists Purva Bedi, John Collins, Lenore Doxsee, David Herskovits and Eunice Wong; screenings of archival material; and live performances by Will Badgett, Tigger Ferguson, Mary Neufeld, Steve Rattazzi, Yuri Skujins and Stephanie Weeks.

Now in its 25th season, Target Margin Theater (TMT) is founded on the principle that works of art return us to real truths more powerfully by their divergence from a strict illustration of reality. Target Margin seeks continuously to expand our conception of what can take place in a theater, creating aggressively reimagined versions of classic texts and new plays inspired by existing sources.

Moderator Rinne Groff's plays and musicals have been produced and commissioned by Yale Rep, Playwrights Horizons, The Public, Manhattan Theatre Club, Berkeley Rep, Trinity Rep, Actors Theatre of Louisville, the Women's Project, P.S. 122, Clubbed Thumb, Target Margin, and Andy's Summer Playhouse, among others. Rinne is a faculty member of the NYU Tisch School of the Arts, Department of Dramatic Writing.
