In an effort to raise awarness and money, the Drama Desk Award recipients, TADA! Youth Theater (Janine Nina Trevens, Executive & Artistic Director) will donate 25% of the box office proceeds on Saturday, February 6 at 4PM of their New Orleans flavored musical Rabbit Sense to benefit two New Orleans' charities  Musicians' Village and Crescent City Lights Youth Theater.

Kris is small and an easy target. Rabbit Sense tells the timely tale of a bullied youngster who is in need of a friend. Just when Kris is about to give up hope, help comes along in the form of Brer Rabbit and a host of other fable characters such as Brer Bear, Brer Fox, Brer Turtle and Sis Wolf that take Kris on a journey. This New Orleans-inspired production is a fresh, updated, approach to the classic Uncle Remus folklore.

Rabbit Sense has a book by Davidson Lloyd, music by John Kroner, lyrics by Gary Gardner, directed and choreographed by Joanna Greer, Jim Colleran as Musical Director, Set and Lighting Design by Steve O'Shea, and Costumes by Virginia Monte.  Rabbit Sense will begin performances on January 21, and will run through February 20 at the TADA! Theater (15 West 28 Street).

TADA!'s original productions employ professional directors, choreographers and designers who work with a multi-ethnic cast of NYC children (ages 8-18) who are members of the TADA! Resident Youth Ensemble. TADA!'s productions lauded by critics around the country including The Los Angeles Times who praised, "Colleran's songs ring out, and Greer's jazzy dances electrify;" and New York Magazine who said, "Since these young actors are a millisecond away from going pro, this is a good time to take a gander at stars on their way up."  Some of TADA!'s Alum include Kerry Washington, Josh Peck, Christina Vidal, Mizuo Peck, Jordan Peele and Ricki Lake.
