TO DREAM OF TREES Set for TNC's 2013 Dream Up Festival, 8/19-27
By: BWW News Desk
Theater for the New City and Crystal Field (Artistic Director) present To Dream of Trees as part of the 2013 Dream Up Festival. To Dream of Trees is an imaginative piece of storytelling set in an apocalyptic world.
In a future where everything (and everyone) is a commodity and human beings worship waste, a young girl begins to have dreams of strange creatures with branches and leaves. The audience is taken on a strange, magical journey to find the roots of humanity, faith, friendship, and the lost language of trees. Using masks, puppets, movement, and original music, our cast and crew will transport you to an enchanting reality where myth is real and anything can happen. For more information, ticketing, and to watch the trailer, visit http://todreamoftrees.blogspot.com. About the team: Lavinia Roberts (Playwright), Lily Raabe (Director), and Ahmed Alabaca (Composer) are a team of young artists dedicated to artistic collaboration and the development of new works.
