St. Bart's Players Presents Final Performances Of JOSEPH...DREAMCOAT 6/18 - 6/21

By:

St Bart's Players 81st Season presents Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, music by Andrew Lloyd Weber, lyrics by Tim Rice.

The beloved Rock Musical by the team of Andrew Lloyd Weber and Tim Rice, "Joseph" originally opened to rave reviews on the Great White Way in New York City in 1982.

Based on the "coat of many colors" story of Joseph from the Bible, this light-hearted show has charmed audiences both on Broadway and around the world with its excitement, energy, and eclectic musical variety.

Notable in the composition of the music is the variety of styles used by Lloyd Webber, including parodies of French ballads ("Those Canaan Days"), Elvis-inspired rock and roll ("Song of the King"), western ("One More Angel In Heaven"), 1920s Charleston ("Potiphar"), Caribbean style ("Benjamin Calypso") and disco ("Go, Go, Go Joseph").

A delight for adults and children Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat is funny, insightful and inspirational and will be staged at Theatre Ten Ten , 1010 Park Avenue ( located at the southwest corner in the Park Avenue Christian Church) by the St. Bart's Players, the acclaimed and longest continuously running Community Theater in Manhattan.
