SHOW CHOIR! - THE MUSICAL is an original musical comedy that takes place in a not too distant future, when international pop phenomenon The Symphonic Sensations rise from a small town high school show choir, to big time show biz success, with an explosion of tight harmonies & jazz hands. As the music bio TV documentary "Beyond the Façade" follows their thrilling path to fame & adoration by millions, the highs & lows of celebrity are exposed in this musical comedy exploration of America's favorite extracurricular activity.

First presented at the 2007 New York International Fringe Festival & winner of two Fringe Awards for Overall Excellence, SHOW CHOIR! - THE MUSICAL has something for everyone. This AEA Showcase Production is Produced by Julie Miller, with Lighting Design by Susan Nicholson, Costume Design by Anne Auberjonois & Stage Management by Joseph Fletcher.

MARK MCDANIELS (Book, Music, Lyrics) is a graduate of both the American Musical & Dramatic Academy & the New School University, with a BFA in Musical Theatre. A jack of many trades, he has worked as a composer (21 years piano), singer, mosaic artist, voice-over actor, producer & house manager. DONALD GARVERICK (Book, Music, Lyrics) has led the life of the musical theatre gypsy, performing in over 30 regional theatre, summer stock, national tour & Off-Broadway productions. Early in his performing career he was asked by director Gary Slavin to join the other side of the creative team by becoming an assistant choreographer. After assisting Mr. Slavin on numerous shows, including Off-Broadway's Area 51 - The Musical, he began to choreograph & teach dance on his own. Mark & Donald have written, produced & cast three versions of SHOW CHOIR! -THE MUSICAL & continue to collaborate on several other musical projects.

Gary Slavin (Director) has credits that include both directing & choreographing five Gilbert & Sullivan operas for the Blue Hill Troupe, New York City's musical charity & two productions for Light Opera of New York. His credits also include countless years of summer stock (including the Struthers Library Theatre which, most auspiciously, introduced him to Don Garverick, beginning a years' long collaborative partnership), directing & choreographing a great variety of shows in the American musical theatre canon with such talents as Joanne Worley (Annie), Lainie Kazan (A Little Night Music) & John Raitt (Shenandoah), as well as Off & Off-Off Broadway (Inside Out ; Area 51 - the Musical; Bush is Bad!), the NY International Fringe Festival (Show Choir! & The Irreplaceable Commodity), television (Stop the World... with Peter Scolari & Stephanie Zimbalist), educational & interNational Theatre. He has studied & danced with the American DanceMachine & last summer served as director & choreographer for the Savoynet production of The Grand Duke at the International Gilbert & Sullivan Festival in Buxton, England.

Julie Miller (Producer) produced the musical The Last Starfighter as part of the New York Musical Theatre Festival's 2007 season & she is currently managing the show The Hurricane Katrina Comedy Festival at the 2010 New York International Fringe Festival. She is the Associate Producer of the original rock musical feature film Clear Blue Tuesday, premiering at The Quad Cinema in NYC this September & is also a producer of the indie sci-fi feature film Fade to White, which will be released later this year. Earlier this year, Julie produced the 24th Annual MAC Awards Show & has worked on the 51st & 52nd Annual Drama Desk Awards, The Nightlife Awards, Broadway Unplugged, Broadway by the Year, The Broadway Cabaret Festival & The Summer Broadway Festival."
