SEASONS Opens At Times Square International Theatre Festival

Two Classy Broads, LLC announce the premiere of the original musical SEASONS, presented as an Equity Showcase for the inaugural Times Square International Theatre Festival.

SEASONS, from the writing duo of Katie Hammond and Elaine Pechacek, will run from January 16–21, 2012 at the Roy Arias Studios & Theaters. Spanning the course of one year, SEASONS is a story about love. This original musical delves into the lives of two couples: Helen and Peter, classmates who reconnect at a high school reunion and struggle with an unexpected pregnancy; and Hope and Mrs. Jones, a mother and daughter with a close bond celebrating a recent engagement and grappling with an unwelcome diagnosis. Poignant and touching, this story explores these characters with humor and realism, and will leave the audience wanting more.

“SEASONS is a beautiful musical that reflects on life and love in a way that I have never encountered before,” says director, Danny Williams, who was nominated as Best Director at the Midtown International Theatre Festival 2011, for his work on a new play GATED. “Katie and Elaine have written a show that is so spectacular and timely. I am so honored to be a part of the creative team bringing this amazing new musical to NY."

Directed by Danny Williams and under the music direction of Elaine Pechacek, Katie Hammond will be portraying the character of Hope. Amy Arbizzani joins the cast as Hope’s mother, Mrs. Jones. The characters of Peter and Helen will be portrayed by newcomer Kyle Szen and LA actress Kristyn Chalker. The creative team includes Katie Kavitt as Stage Manager; Andrew Chandler as Set Design; Trey Foster as Costume Design; and Xiao Wang as the Graphics and Projection Designer.

Performance dates and ticket information:
Performances will be held at Stage IV at the Roy Arias Theaters, New York (located at 300 W 43rd St, Suite 506, New York, NY, 10036). Dates include January 16, 2012 at 9:30pm; Thursday, January 19, 2012 at 8pm; and Saturday, January 21, 2012 at 5:30pm. Tickets are $18 and can be purchased online at www.smarttix.com, beginning December 12, 2011. Pending availability they may also be purchased at the door before each performance.

Katie Hammond and Elaine Pechacek have been collaborating since 2007, and have compiled a catalog of over 70 original songs.
