RYAN RAFTERY’S IT GETS WORSE! To Run At Drom

By:

Have you ever been bullied? Have you ever felt like you don't belong? Do you have twenty dollars? If the answer to any of those questions is "yes", then get your tickets now for Ryan Raftery'S IT GETS WORSE!

Following the seismic successes of "Ryan Raftery & Friends: A SOLO ACT" and last summer's Joe's Pub sell-out "Ryan Raftery's THIS ISN'T IT!", comes a brand new show about adolescent bullying and the desire to belong. Using the music of some of today's biggest pop/rock stars (Beyonce, The Rolling Stones, Lady Gaga) alongside Raftery's own parody lyrics, the audience will be taken on a journey from the womb to the schoolyard to the stage to dizzingly hilarious effect.
Just in time for Pride Weekend, Ryan Raftery'S IT GETS WORSE! will feature the musical direction of Danny Lincoln and is produced by GreenList productions.

Ryan Raftery has appeared on ABC's "Ugly Betty" and has been hailed as "Hilarious," (NY Observer) "Dietrich with Balls," (Madonna's brother Christopher Ciccone) and "Kinda Pitchy" (Marc Shaiman, composer "Hairspray" & "Catch Me If You Can") Most adequately described as a "Demented Rat Packer for the Millenium!," Raftery returns with his third solo show, "Ryan Raftery's IT GETS WORSE! An Uplifting Musical Tale of a Mercilessly Bullied Genius" in a show certain to appeal to anyone has ever felt like the black sheep on the verge of a nervous breakdown.

Ryan Raftery is a native of Brooklyn NY. Educated at NYU's Tisch School of the Arts, he was cast in the WB's "What I Like About You" and moved out to Los angeles where he worked in television and commercials. His other television credits include "Malcolm in the Middle", "Ugly Betty" and "Law and Order: SVU" where he warmed hearts all over America as Dennis Faber, the Amish teenager with measles. He moved back to New York to pursue his true love...Lady Theatre.

Performances are MONDAY, June 27th @ 9:30 MONDAY, July 18th @ 9:30pm. DROM is located in New York City at 85 Avenue A @ 6th Street. Tickets are available @ www.dromnyc.com
