Famous pop star siblings Jimmy & Cherry, along with their manager Captain Leo and pet monkey Boots, have been kidnapped while leaving their recording studio and whisked into another galaxy by an Evil Alien Overlord who threatens to blow up the planet Earth unless they entertain him. As our heroes try to plot their escape they must circumvent the efforts of their foil, Jane, the sexy housekeeper, who might just be a robot spy! Take off into outer space with Radio Deluxembourg, a multimedia, rock musical, sci-?, comedy experience!

Radio Deluxembourg combines a mash-up of styles that take the viewer on a non-stop thrill ride. A multimedia feast, where characters come and go via astral phone, sirens from above keep them on their toes, and if they're not strapped to more than three noisemakers at once, they won't be ready for what?s coming next. One part variety children?s hour, where the brother and sister pop stars are behaving a little too much like adults, one part rock?n'roll band that can break out into song at any moment, and a measure of olde timey radio show, where videoscapes are the back drop for classic radio hours-combine for 100% fun!

With inspirations and pop culture references as varied as Pee-Wee?s Playhouse, Dr. Who, Star Trek, The Monkees and Alfred Hitchcock, Radio Deluxembourg is a crowd pleasing sensory extravaganza. Audiences will appreciate the true value of gypsum (finally!), as they laugh their gundars off.

Radio Deluxembourg was conceived, written and staged by Andy Hopper (Carrots For Hare - directed by Academy Award Winner Waleed Moursi, and Licorice Stick, co-written with Emmy nominated, Mark Segurson), Niamh McCormally (Girl on a Bed, with renowned Los Angeles company Padua Playwrights; Sexual Perversity in Chicago and Sustenance with Red Dog Squadron) Matthew G. Park (music writer for Kevin Allison's, RISK! performed at Arlene's Grocery and Joe's Pub in 2009; developer and co-host of Of The Moment performed monthly at The People's Improv Theatre from 2008-2010) and Amy Frances Quint (The Three Sisters directed by Martin Fried and Baltimore City Paper #1 Theatre Pick for 2007 The Increased Difficulty of Concentration). These classically trained artists (NYU, CalArts) workshopped the show over the course of a year in NYC as it developed into a character-based story about four people looking to make a connection through rock music, comedy, and intergalactic hi-jinx.

Following its three day run at 59E59, Radio Deluxembourg is heading to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival for a 29 day run, where they will be headlining at Spotlites at Merchants' Hall.
