Promethean Theatre Company's FLAMING GUNS Showdowns at The Creek, 11/19 - 11/23
On November 19, 20, 21, and 23 2009, Promethean Theatre Company will present Jane Martin's Flaming Guns of the Purple Sage, at their home base, The Creek, Long Island City.
Flaming Guns of the Purple Sage is the story of Big 8, a feisty rodeo competitor, who is facing foreclosure on the Wyoming ranch where she rehabilitates injured rodeo cowboys...with "sexual healing." The arrival of a shocking girl named Shedevil and a one eyed Ukrainian biker named Black Dog ushers in outrageous violence and horror in this shoot ‘em up, knock ‘em up, cut ‘em up comic romp that roasts the cowboy mentality of the "old west genre."
Flaming Guns will be directed by Promethean Founding Member Lenny Banovez, and include a cast of Promethean company members Laura Frye, Laura Montes, and Raven Peters. Promethean newcomers Billy Harley, Kymberli McKanna, and Jake Russo round out the cast.
Flaming Guns will run November 19, 20, 23 at 7:00pm, and November 21 at 4:00pm at The Creek, Long Island City, located at 10-93 Jackson Ave. For more information visit
