Project: Lohan Closes May 15

By:

E.T.C.'s production of Project: Lohan written by D'Aarcy Drollinger and directed by Ben Rimalower will end its premiere engagement on Sunday, May 15. This production is presented in association with the production teams of Shane Marshall Brown and DCG Arts. Tickets are $18, $13 for students/seniors and can be purchased at the box office, by phone at (212) 475-7710 or online at www.lamama.org <http://www.lamama.org> .

Actor/playwright D'Aarcy Drollinger, in an over-the-top arresting star-turn, plays Lindsay Lohan and is joined by an ensemble cast featuring Clayton Dean Smith, Brandon Olson, Cindy Goldfield, Emily McGowan and Brian Reiss who all play other such luminaries as Paris Hilton, Nicole Ritchie, Hillary Duff, Jessica Simpson, Scarlett Johansson, Samantha Ronson, Dina and Michael Lohan, Tina Fey, Jane Fonda, Leslie Sloan Zelnick, and Wilmer Valderrama.

A gender bending theatrical experience, Project: Lohan chronicles the life of Lindsay Lohan: actress, singer and tabloid queen. Drollinger created this show using only published text from tabloids, magazines, entertainment TV and internet gossip sites. Lohan's journey from Disney starlet to convicted felon is reconstructed in an evocative timeline as both classic myth and Shakespearean tragedy - with surprising, hilarious and poignant insights into pop culture, the fragile nature of talent and the people who surround and exploit it.

From starlet to harlot, from hottie to hot mess, from fashion plate to prison inmate, Lindsay Lohan has been the subject of arguably one of the most publicized rise and falls in showbiz history. The youngest person to host the MTV movie awards and earning over 7 million a picture before she turned 18, Lindsay had it all, but her love/hate relationship with the paparazzi played a significant role in her seemingly out-of-control spiral. The money, the fame, the feuds, the media hungry parents, the lesbian lover, the insatiable paparazzi, 5 trips to rehab, two DUI's, possession of cocaine, shoplifting, physical abuse and even carjacking - all played out in the public eye - will be reinterpreted for the stage.

This Equity-approved showcase features set design by Chris Minard, lighting design by Wilburn Bonnell, costume design by Ryan J. Moller, sound design by Andrew Puccio, choreography by John Paolillo, hair design by Jon Jordan and projection design by Jason Corson.
