The Holy Cows of Credence, South Dakota will be presented at the Planet Connections Theatre Festivity May 30 - June 24 at the Robert Moss Theatres.

This summer, The Holy Cows of Credence, South Dakota, directed by Rodrigo E. Bolaños, will be presented as part of the 5th Annual Planet Connections Theatre Festivity. The Festivity will take place May 30 through June 24 at the Gene Frankel and Robert Moss Theatres. The musical, with Book by Mark-Eugene Garcia (Standby: The Musical) , Music and Lyrics by David and Paul Rigano (The Rigano Songbook), and based on the play "Holy Cows" by Carolyn Lardinois English and Royal Crane, will be directed by Rodrigo E. Bolaños with Choreography by Donald Garverick.

In Credence, South Dakota, Marlys Brooks cheers on the church's ever-losing baseball team, "The Holy Cows." Being the minister's wife, she uses these gatherings to give out advice and support. But this Sunday, Marlys is suffering a lapse of faith. Hiding this, she places her hope in an unlikely source...

The Holy Cows of Credence, South Dakota received its world premiere at the LaGuardia Performing Arts Center in Long Island City in July 2010. The show moved on to the Puzzle: Marble's Festival of New Works at Marble Collegiate Church in May 2011.

Mark-Eugene Garcia is the co-book and lyrics writer for Standby: The Musical (2012 New York International Fringe Festival- Encores Selection, 2013 New York Musical Theatre Festival Next Link Selection) as well as Facing East: The Musical, and the play (un)missed connections. David and Paul Rigano have had their songs performed at venues such as Don't Tell Mama, The Duplex, and The Metropolitan Room. Together they are co-creators of The Rigano Songbook and the new musical web series Just a Couple. Carolyn Lardinois English and Royal Crane have been writing for television, stand-up comedians and the stage for twenty years. Their previous stage works include Miss South Dakota, Pretty Rocks, and Night Nurses. Donald Garverick's recent choreography credits include Off-Broadway'sSiren's Heart: The Marilyn Monroe Musical at The Actor's Temple, NYMF2010's Show Choir! - The Musical (which Donald co-wrote,) and Before God Was Invented at Theatre for the New City. Rodrigo E. Bolaños is an Architecture and Theatre Arts graduate from Cal Poly State University in San Luis Obispo, CA where he began designing, directing and acting for the stage. He recently directed (un)missed connections, In the Garden of... and TREASURES.

As part of Planet Connections, monetary donations will be collected at each performance for WIN (Women in Need). Win transforms the lives of New York City homeless women and their children by providing a holistic solution of safe housing, critical services and ground-breaking programs they need to succeed on their own - so the women can regain their independence and their children can look forward to a brighter future.

Festivity seeks to inspire artists and audiences both creatively and fundamentally, in a festive atmosphere. At the heart of the Festivity are like-minded individuals striving to create professional, meaningful theatre, music and film, while supporting organizations which give back to the community at large.
