Photo Flash: First Look at Teen Academy's URINETOWN at Amas Musical Theatre
Amas Musical Theatre's The Rosetta LeNoire Musical Theatre Academy presents URINETOWN: THE MUSICAL, a musical comedy with music and lyrics by Mark Hollman and book Greg Kotis about a dystopian future where water is worth its weight in gold. Winner of three Tony Awards, it is a side-splitting satire of greed, love and revolution...and musicals. BroadwayWorld has a first look at the cast in action below!
Directed by Christopher Scott, with choreography by Monica Johnson and musical direction by Evan Alparone, the production will feature 24 members of "The Teen Academy." Performances begin tonight, Friday, May 6, 2016 (and continue through May 15) at The Theatre at the 14th Street Y (344 East 14th Street - between 1st & 2nd Aves).
The cast of 24 includes Teen Academy members: Cassie Barckett, Daniella Berman, Elizabeth deforest, Lauryn Donofrio, Soli Garzon, Celia Gooding, Rose Goodman, Wayne Hampton, Chetina Harris, Merrill Joseffer, Nicole Klokiw, Emily Lang, Benjamin Miller, Sheika Murray, Crystal Phitts, Josephine Strong, Isabella Rivera, Quincy Rodriguez, Cindy Simon, Infinity Stewart, Mercedes Stewart, Nicole Suazo, Amy Tolentino, Emily Viega, Molly Viega, and Benjamin White.
The creative team includes: Josh Iacovelli (Set Design/Production Supervisor), Joyce Liao (Lighting Design), Dustin Cross (Costume Design) and Melanie Aponte (Stage Manager).
