Haas Regen's new play PERCEVAL, a four-actor adaptation of the Arthur legend, will run at the Kraine theater from August 10-25 as part of FringeNYC. PERCEVAL is presented as part ofFringeHIGH, a collection of boundary-stretching plays, chosen from among the FringeNYC roster, guaranteed to captivate and entertain NYC teens.
The show is presented by The Immediate Family, a company founded by alums of theBrown/Trinity MFA Acting Program (including Drama League nominee, Piper Goodeve). The cast features Brown MFA alums Elizabeth King-Hall (Asolo Rep, Fiasco Theater's Twelfth Night) as the Troubadour, Michael Propster (Mabou Mines) as Perceval, GillIan Williams (The Good Wife) as Mistress Kundry, and playwright Haas Regen (Shakespeare Festival St. Louis, Fiasco Theater's Twelfth Night) as Galahad. They are directed by fellow alum Scott Raker (Emerging Artists Theatre). Spanning centuries of sources from twelfth-century poetry to the modern cinema, the cast portrays two-dozen characters in this fast-paced reimagining of the classic Arthurian legend about an unassuming young Welshman who undertakes the noble Quest for the Holy Grail. The Immediate Family brings to life this world of duels and damsels, curses and spells, despicable fiends, bleeding spears, floating castles- and hopefully even the Cup itself!Videos
