One Old Crow Productions Presents DAVID'S REDHAIRED DEATH, Now thru 11/10

One Old Crow Productions (2013 New York Innovative Theatre Award Nominees for Outstanding Revival of a Play for their site-specific production of Sam Shepard's Cowboy Mouth) will present Sherry Kramer's play David's RedHaired Death directed by Michael Rau (Song of a Convalescent Ayn Rand Giving Thanks to the Godhead with Wolf 259), tonight, October 23-November 10 at LA SALA at Cantina Royal (58 N. 3rd Street between Wythe Ave and Kent Ave in Williamsburg Brooklyn).

The production will star Diana Beshara (Cowboy Mouth with One Old Crow; The Love Letter You've Been Meaning to Write New York at 3LD) andElizabeth Simmons (Hysteria at Rep Stage; GoodBadUgly with The Players Theatre). The creative team will include Lighting Design by Sara Gosses (Odd.A.Seewith Exquisite Corpse Company), Set and Costume Design by Elizabeth Barrett Groth (We in Silence Hear a Whisper with Red Fern Theatre Company), Photos byErin Mulvehill, Aerial Choreography by Seanna Sharpe (Cirque du Soleil) and Sound Design and Video Projections by Asa Wember (2009 New York Innovative Theatre Award Winner for Outstanding Sound Design on Flux Theatre Ensemble's Angel Eaters).

Two redheads find themselves in a big love they can't escape from. A two-woman show in a non-traditional space with aerial work, three walls of projections, and food and drink. Come early, eat, drink, and join us in the mythical land of The Redheads, where anything can happen, nothing is happening, and everything has happened already.

The show will play Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday night at 8pm and Sunday afternoons at 2pm, October 23-November 10 at LA SALA at Cantina Royal (58 N. 3rd Street between Wythe Ave and Kent Ave in Williamsburg Brooklyn). The show runs 90 minutes, with one 15-minute intermission.

MICHAEL RAU (Director) is a theater director specializing in new plays, re-imagined classics, and opera. Since 2008 he has been working internationally in Germany, the UK, Ireland, Canada, and Greece. He has created work in New York City at PS122, HERE Arts Center, Ars Nova, The Bushwick Starr, The Brick, Culture Project, 59E59 and Dixon Place. He is the artistic director and co-founder of Wolf 359, with playwright Michael Yates Crowley. He is a recipient of the Willard Fellowship from Columbia University (2007). He also received the 2006 Kennedy Center Directing Fellowship, a 2007 New Play Network Directing Fellowship and a 2008 TCG National Conference Grant. He was an Artist-in-Residence at the Tribeca Performing Arts Center for three years, and is on the faculty of the Steinhardt School of Music at NYU. He is a member of the Lincoln Center Directors Lab, and a graduate of Wesleyan University and received his MFA in Theater Directing from Columbia University. www.michaelrau.com

Sherry Kramer (Playwright) Ms. Kramer's work has been seen at theater's across the country and abroad, including the Humana Festival at The Actors Theatre of Louisville, Yale Repertory Theatre, Soho Rep, Ensemble Studio Theatre, New York's Second Stage, Woolly Mammoth, and The Theater of the First Amendment. She is a recipient of NEA, New York Foundation for the Arts and McKnight Fellowships, the Weissberger Playwriting Award, and a New York Drama League Award (What A Man Weighs), the LA Women in Theater New Play Award (The Wall of Water), and the Jane Chambers Playwriting Award (for David's RedHaired Death).

ONE OLD CROW PRODUCTIONS is a new company dedicated to producing works across multiple mediums that highlight and celebrate an experimental nature and an explorative use of space and place.
