O Solo Mio Productions announced today the premiere of SOUVENIRS: 4 SOLO SHOWS ABOUT THE THINGS YOU CAN'T FORGET (www.MattHoverman.com/Souvenirs.html), a collection of hilarious and touching monologues written and performed by Karen Fitzgerald, Robin Amos Kahn, Shawn Kathryn Kane and John Mahoney (pictured) and featuring singer/songwriter Garry Novikoff. In SOUVENIRS, four solo artists take the audience on four hysterically funny and personal journeys that involve a mother who refuses to die, a gay teenage mailman who delivers more than the mail, a perpetual people pleaser who treks to India to learn how to say no, and a daughter who finally confronts her derelict father. SOUVENIRS will play for four performances at the Blackbird Theatre at Where Eagles Dare Studios, 347 West 36th Street, 13th floor (between 8th & 9th Avenues), New York, from Thursday, October 30th to Sunday, November 2nd.

All four solo shows were developed with and directed by Matt Hoverman, winner of the 2006 FringeNYC Best Playwriting Award, and a prominent NYC solo show coach.  Previous solo shows developed with Matt Hoverman include:  HOT CRIPPLE by Hogan Gorman (2008 FringeNYC Best Actress Award), BRIDEZILLA STRIKES BACK! by Cynthia Silver (2005 FringeNYC Best Solo Show Award) and SACRED IS THE NEW PROFANE by Cheryl Harnest (2008 Midtown Int'l Theatre Festival Best Production of a Solo Show Award).

Karen Fitzgerald's film credits include Conversations with God directed by Stephen Simon and A Terrible Meek directed by three-time Emmy winner Bill Humphreys, with whom she also co-wrote and performed Reflections.  Emmy-nominated writer Robin Amos Kahn wrote for The Young and the Restless and Days of Our Lives and won a Writers' Guild Award for Guiding Light.  Shawn Kathryn Kane is a founding member of NYC theater company Thirsty Turtle Productions and has acted with Gene Frankel Underground, the ArcLight Theater and the Looking Glass Theater.  John Mahoney is a founding member of comedy groups The Sons of Streisand and Radio Radio, and is the creator/producer/writer of the comedy quiz show Enlightning (with Paul Provenza).

Tickets for SOUVENIRS are $15 online ($20 at the door/$10 student).  The performance schedule is as follows:  Thursday, October 30th – Saturday, November 1st at 8pm, Sunday, November 2nd at 7pm.  Tickets can be purchased by visiting www.smarttix.com or calling (212) 868-4444.
