NewYorkRep, Marvell Rep and La Vie Productions present staged readings of Stalking the Bogeyman (written by Markus Potter, based on the original story by David Holthouse) on Tuesday, March 12th in New York City. The industry-only staged readings are open by invitation only.

Stalking the Bogeyman is based upon a true story by David Holthouse. The story was recorded and aired on NPR's "This American Life" podcast in spring of 2012, and after hearing this presentation, NewYorkRep approached Mr. Holthouse for the rights to adapt the piece for the stage under the guidance of Markus Potter, with dramaturgical work by Emily Boyd. Now this gripping piece is working its way towards the New York stage.

David Holthouse is hunting the man who abused him during his childhood to prevent him from ever harming another - but as he retraces their complicated relationship to face his bogeyman, he finds himself walking a fine line between justice and vengeance.

The readings of Stalking the Bogeyman feature Jane Beller, Lou Carbonneau, Mark DeLaBarre, Joy Franz, Henry Leyva, Adam McNulty, with casting by Marci Phillips. Markus Potter directs.
