By:

THE NEW YORK NEO-FUTURISTS have announced Colin Summers' STEVE: A Docu-Musical, with music by Summers and Andrew Eckel, lyrics by Steve, and directed by Nessa Norich. STEVE: A Docu-Musical, which had sold-out performances at Joe's Pub, Ant Fest, and Frigid New York Festival, will play a limited engagement at 4th Street Theatre (83 East 4th Street). Performances begin Thursday, August6 and continue through Saturday, August22. Opening Night is Wednesday, August12 (7:30 p.m.). $16 tickets now available at www.nyneofuturists.org/steve/.

STEVE: A DOCU-MUSICAL is a "fascinating, funny, and strangely moving" (Maxamoo) play that chronicles the true story of Colin Summers' eight year online correspondence and artistic collaboration with Steve, a "Gen X" Australian. Together, Steve and Colin have written hundreds of songs. In Colin's account of their unconventional relationship, Steve's original songs and emails paint a vivid picture of a fascinating character.

The production features projection design by Gene Kogan, set design by Joey Rizzolo and lighting design by Sarah Livant. Yoshi Kuroi is the general manager and Sarah Livant is the stage manager.

STEVE: A Docu-Musical plays the following regular schedule through Saturday, August 22:

Mondays - Saturdays at 7:30 p.m.

Additional performances: Thursdays at 9:30 p.m. and Saturdays at 5 p.m.

Tickets are $16 in advance $20 at the door. Available now online at www.nyneofuturists.org/steve/ or by calling 866-811-4111. Tickets may also be purchased in-person at the theater ½ hour prior to performance.
