NativeAliens Theatre Collective, one of New York City's most cleverly provocative off-off-Broadway theatre groups, will end the second play of their 14th season, a collaborative modern-adaptation of Carlo Goldoni's The Servant of Two Masters on April 11th.

Directed by Yasmine M. Jahanmir, currently pursuing her Master's in Performance Studies at New York University, this modern rendition of a classic commedia dell'arte piece explores ideas of stereotypes from the 16th century to now. Rather than utilizing traditional masks to ensure audience recognition of characters, this version employs stereotypical TV sitcom characters to signal the audience to each character's essential personality.

This adaptation came about from collaboration with the actors to explore both the Commedia characters and their respective sitcom characters. This classic, humorous tale of identity confusion creates new meaning when placed in the world of the modern sitcom.

The cast for this show is as follows: Rachel Brookner, Emily Cannon-Brown, Dana DiAngelo, Lyle Friedman, Sarah Kraynik, Clayton Ellis Reed, Darryl Reilly, Robb Russ, Nicholas Safille, Jodi Smith, and Kathleen Truitt*.
