Leviathan Lab culminates its in-house workshop of Kelvin Moon Loh's IMAGINARY HEART with a staged reading and panel discussion directed by Creative Destruction Artistic Director Nelson T. Eusebio III, on Monday, November 8th at 7:00pm at The Singers Forum Cabaret Room, 49 West 24th Street, 4th floor between 5th and 6th Avenues, NYC. The reading and panel discussion will be immediately followed by a wine reception with the cast. The post-show panel discussion will be moderated by Pauline Park, Chair of NYAGRA (New York Association for Gender Rights Advocacy), along with Justin Hashimoto from the EquAsian Asian and Pacific Islander Queer and Questioning Youth Support Group of APICHA (Asian/Pacific Islander Coalition on HIV/AIDS).

IMAGINARY HEART is an original stage play by actor/playwright Kelvin Moon Loh. Chinese American high school student and competitive math prodigy Michael Lam is the perfect Chinese son to his immigrant parents, and the object of the affections of his openly gay best friend and math bee teammate Zack. To his mysterious companion Renee however, Michael is far more, and their journey of discovery will shatter all of their preconceived notions of what it means to be the "number one son."

IMAGINARY HEART is currently in development with Leviathan Lab. IMAGINARY HEART features several members of of Leviathan Lab's Asian American Acting Company including Arthur Acuña, Jonathan Lee, Karen Tsen Lee, and Jennifer Tsay, along with guest artists Tim McKiernan
and Tim Rush.

Kelvin Moon Loh is a proud member of the Leviathan Lab as a playwright and actor. iMAGINARY Heart is the first in a trio of plays that directly deals with the Asian-American experience within the LGBTQ community. Other full length plays include: ‘Night Gaysian, Miss Zion, Lend Me an Usher, The Men with the Pink Triangles, and The Never Never Man. Kelvin is a founding member of The Hyper Aware Vending Theater Co. As a member of Actor's Equity, he has worked with Pioneer Theater Co.
