League of Pro Theatre Women Celebrates Women Bloggers this Week
The League of Professional Theatre Women, celebrating its 30th anniversary in 2012 with Turning 30: Celebrating Our Legacy, Creating Our Future, is running a special Pioneer's Week of Blog30, the LPTW blog highlighting the energy & accomplishments of its 400+ members, this week, March 26 to April 1. Blog30 launched its first daily entry on January 1, 2012.
Developed & administered by League members Susan Bernfield, Melanie Sutherland, Shaun Bennet Wilson & Lanie Zipoy, Blog30 celebrates the individual women, engaged in a broad range of theatrical disciplines, who make up The League of Professional Theatre Women, each with a story to tell & a distinct point of view.
Highlighting Pioneer's Week will be Julia Miles (Founding Artistic Director of the Women's Project, Founding Member LPTW), Elsa Rael (Playwright, Lyricist & Writer), Ruth Mayleas (Arts Executive – NEA, Ford Foundation), Billie Allen (Actor, Director), Lenore DeKoven (Director, Author, Educator) & Tisa Chang (Artistic Director, Pan Asian Rep).
