2013 MetroStar Winner Lauren Stanford will bring singer Helen Morgan to life on October 14th in "More Than You Know: A Helen Morgan Cabaret." The production is part of The Emerging Artists Theatre New Works Series. Stanford wrote the piece, described as a dramatic recreation of Morgan's

cabaret act. The show contains many songs the chanteuse was famous for singing, such as Jerome Kern's "Bill" and "Why Was I Born." It is directed by Jamey Isenor with music direction by Erich Rausch.

"Late nights in prohibition-era NYC you could find singer Helen Morgan iconically perched on the piano at her club, relying too much on brandy and 'torching' until even the most hardened gangster wept into his beer."

The performance will take place Monday October 14th at TADA Theater 15 W 28th St at 7pm. Tickets can be reserved online at http://www.brownpapertickets.com/event/469163 by entering the October 14th date. Further information can be found athttp://emergingartiststheatre.org/
