Jonathan Pearson, New York's newest transplant, and JDProductions 'Bound for Broadway' alum, will sing an intimate evening of jazz, showtunes, R&B-and God knows what else-in 'An Evening With Jonny and Friends!', a 90-minute cabaret show on Thursday, July 5, at 9:30 p.m. at The Duplex Cabaret Theatre in the West Village.

"Producing and starring in my own one-man show has been a dream of mine ever since I began performing," Jonathan said. "Having spent the last 15 years in Branson, Missouri, I've always been forced to sing what others wanted me to sing. This show will be songs that I've loved and want to share with my audience."

Directed by John Forslund, Jonathan is joined by Benet Braun and a 7-piece band, along with Duplex-favorite, Jake McKenna, in this special evening that will be recorded for a live album.

"I want this show to be the best, that's why I've chosen the best musicians and comedian to be a part of this special one-night only show," Jonathan said. "You won't want to miss this milestone evening of music and hilarity!"

Jonathan performed in Branson, Missouri, for the last 15 years with some great names of yesteryear, including Debby Boone, Jerry Van Dyke, Tony Orlando, Ed MacMahon, Shoji Tabuchi-even Anita Bryant! In the short time since he's arrived in New York, he has performed in two Off-Broadway shows, most recently in 'Pageant Princess: The Musical' at The 45 Bleecker Street Theatre during the Planet Connections Theatre Festival, which The New York Times recommended as one of the top shows for kids of all ages to see! He has also performed three times in the Bound for Broadway showcases and in 'Off The Books! A Cole Porter Unpublished Cabaret' at The Duplex. He was recently accepted into New York University's Graduate Musical Theatre Writing Program as a bookwriter and lyricist, which he will begin in the fall. He is also a current member of The Actor's Project NYC (TAPNYC).

Tickets are $15 with a 2-drink minimum. Must be 21 and over to attend.
