HOT MESS IN MANHATTAN premieres in Times Square at the Midtown Theatre (163 West 46th Street bet. 6th and 7th Aves.) one night only on October 18th at 8pm.

HOT MESS IN MANHATTAN is the definitive truth on New York City dwelling, dating, and all things text message as told by ‘The Mess': a girl whose Manhattan apartment is so small she must sit sideways on the toilet. According to creator & performer Cait Doyle, "Carrie Bradshaw lied to us, gave some of us eating disorders, and then made all of us see a couple of bad movies."

Paul Shaffer of Late Night with David Letterman has dubbed HOT MESS IN MANHATTAN "hilarious... and with musical perfection".

Audiences will hear eleven original songs written expressly for Doyle's Hot Mess in Manhattan by some of New York's hottest composers. The October 18th performance includes a debut song by musical theatre's "It Boy," Nick Blaemire (Glory Days). In addition to Blaemire, composers include Gaby Alter (2008 Larson Award Winner), Sam Carner & Derek Gregor (Richard Rodgers Award, Unlock'd), Ryan Cunningham & Joshua Salzman (I Love You Because), Drew Gasparini, Adam Gwon (2008 Fred Ebb Award Winner, Ordinary Days), Sharon Kenny, Michael Mahler (How Can You Run with a Shell on Your Back?), Ryan Scott Oliver (Richard Rodgers Award, Playwrights Horizons' Mrs. Sharp), Julianne Wick Davis (Wood). Oliver, Gwon, Kenny, & Alter each received MAC Award nominations for Best Song for their contributions to HOT MESS IN MANHATTAN. Most of the composers will be present at a 7pm ‘meet and greet' free to all ticket holders. Cait will be joined onstage by special guest Steven Booth (Glory Days).

HOT MESS IN MANHATTAN features the talents of musical director Vince Peterson, director Jonathan Whitton (MAC & Bistro award winner), and world-class cellist Dan Delaney. Produced in association with Greg Schaffert and Noah Cornman. Tickets to HOT MESS IN MANHATTAN are priced at $20, which includes a complimentary vodka cocktail. Doors open at 7pm to meet the composers; show starts at 8pm. To reserve tickets, call 866-811-4111 OR 212-352-310
