Gallery Players Closes Season with RENT, Now thru 5/18

By:

Having successfully conquered a colorful year of programming that has received both critical and popular praise, The Gallery Players will bring their 47th Mainstage Season to a close with one of the most popular musicals to date - RENT. As Gallery has developed a reputation for reimagining these iconic pieces, President Mark Harborth (Chess, Dreamgirls) promises a unique experience for audiences already familiar with the show. "You won't see a striped winter scarf in this production (or a sexy Santa suit for that matter) but you will hear every note of Jonathan Larson's passionate score performed by one of the most dynamic and talented casts and orchestras Gallery has assembled."

Dale Sampson* and Isaac Matthews will lead the cast in the infamous roles of Mark and Roger. Dwayne Washington is cast as Collins and David Cronin will play opposite him as the electric Angel. Tara Novie will take on the sexy Mimi as Kolton Bradley* plays Benny. Tunisia Renee* and Mara Jill Herman* round out the leading roles as Joanne and Maureen. The ensemble, immense both in size and voice, will feature Tatiana Adams, Dana Baráthy*, Danny Bristoll, Erin Edelle*, Hubbard Farr, Nicholas Ferrara, Scott McLean Harrison*, Westley T. Holiday, Katie Mack*, Aashley Morgan, Sean O'Shea, Chrysten Peddie*, Jackie Reynolds, Barry Sheppard, Hana Slevin, and Marc Winski. The production will be brought to life under Director Mark Harborth, Music Director Michael Hopewell, and Choreographer Elyse Daye Hart, Associate Choreographer Trey Mitchell, assisted by Lexi Mondot, by Set Designer Jerry Mittelhauser, Costume Designer Joey Haws, Lighting Designer Scott Andrew Cally, Sound Designer Jacob Subotnick, Properties Designer Sara Slagle, and Production Stage Manager Kathleen Parker, assisted by Hilary Kolman and Elizabeth Ramsay. RENT is an Equity Approved Showcase. *Actors appearing courtesy of Actors Equity Association.
