Full Casting Announced For TIME IT IS: TO MUSIC At Theater For The New City
Full casting has been announced for TIME IT IS: TO MUSIC, a new musical based on the 1999 award-winning hit off-off-Broadway play, TIME IT IS.
TIME IT IS: TO MUSIC tells the story of Alizia, a talented visual artist in the early 1980's East Village of NYC. When one of her paintings is bought by a celebrity and becomes the poster image for a national environmental campaign, Alizia is thrust in the spotlight. Faced with her newfound fame, Alizia must reckon with "the scene", the men in her life, and a deep secret. With a tuneful and diverse score, poetic book, and strong female lead, TIME IT IS: TO MUSIC is sure to have something for everyone.
The cast features Erica Malachowski (Alizia), Jonathan Fox Powers (Johnny), David "Zen" Mansley (Diamanté), Madeline Watkins (Ginger), Charles J. Ouda (Alex), Tobias Arizio (David), and Kevin Rogers (Donny), with ensemble members Noah Chartrand, Amy Connerley, Heeya Kim, and Kevin Luis.

TIME IT IS was presented in 1999 at Theater For the New City, directed by and starring Lissa Moira.
Writing for this musical adaptation began in September of 2018, with an excerpted developmental workshop being held in December 2018. TIME IT IS: TO MUSIC will be presented at Theater For the New City's Community Space Theater Thursdays through Saturdays at 8.00p and Sundays at 3.00p from April 4th through April 28th.
