Coming off their 5 Month hit run of the NYC premiere of "The Last Supper", the critically acclaimed Rising Sun Performance Company is pleased to present "Goodnight Lovin' Trail" at the 2011 FRIGID Festival.

Originally developed and produced at the world renowned Actors Studio School for Drama, this is Rising Sun's fourth production of the play, with performances in 2004 at the 78th Street Theater Lab and as part of the Riant Theatre's 2009 Colors of Life, One Act Festival at the Producer's Club, both in NYC.  Goodnight Lovin' Trail was also a part of the Inaugural Wilmington FRINGE Festival, one of only 25 productions selected out of applicants from around the country.

"Goodnight Lovin' Trail" is a subtle and touching drama that takes place at a truck stop diner in West Texas, where two desperate and lonely strangers find redemption in each other's eyes while discussing a stolen guitar. The play explores raw human emotions and consequences while these two desperate characters navigate and come to terms with the choices they've made on the road of life.

The play features the acting of Nic Mevoli, best known for his critically acclaimed portrayal of "Top" in Esther Bell's feature film "Exist" and as the Cab Driver in Will Kern's Hellcab which ran for 13 weeks in New York City; and Rising Sun new comer Olivia Rorick, whose touching portrayal of Lee, elicits a truly emotional response from audiences.  Director, Akia is a well known director and producer in the Off & Off-Off Broadway scene, a recipient of the New York Innovative Theatre Awards "Founders Award" this past July and most recently received rave reviews for her direction of the New York City premiere of "The Last Supper".
