Dramatizing the healing process from child abuse is a daring task that Mexican-American playwright Mario Golden undertakes in his new tragedy, "The Love of Brothers." Theater for the New City will present the play's world premiere run March 5 to 29, directed by Andreas Robertz. The work ventures into dangerous and uncharted waters, depicting two gay siblings who reproduce scenarios of their childhood traumas in order to heal each other psychically. This leads them to incestuous acts. The play is shocking, but it is also an object lesson in love and sacrifice that we would all do well to heed.
