On Sunday, September 28th at 7:00pm, Dreamlight Theatre Company will present the next installment of “Bright Lights”, a concert series dedicated to showcasing the work of emerging composers and lyricists in musical theatre.

The event will feature the talents of a group of “Out-Of-Towners” including Chicago’s Brian Mazaferri, and writing team Alan Schmuckler & Michael Mahler.  From Philadelphia, Michael Biello & Dan Martin, and from Washington D.C, the work of Matt Conner.

Mazaferri is a Chicago-based singer/songwriter and composer of Green Eyes, which received its premiere in the 2008 New York Fringe Festival.  Michael Mahler & Alan Schmuckler are the team behind the critically acclaimed musical How Can You Run With a Shell on Your Back.  Writing team Biello & Martin have just returned from a workshop of their newest piece, The Cousins Grimm at the Eugene O’Neill Theatre Center, and Matt Conner is the composer of Nevermore, which received its world-premiere production in 2006 at the Signature Theatre.

The concert will be hosted at The Triad (158 West 72nd Street) on Sunday, September 28th at 7pm.  Tickets are $15 with a two-drink minimum.  For more information or to purchase tickets, visit Dreamlight’s website: www.DreamlightTheatre.org.
