Swandive Studio (Lisa Snyder, Founder) announces details of its upcoming joint productions of See Bob Run and Wild Abandon, both written by Daniel MacIvor. See Bob Run is directed by Benjamin Watson and features Lisa Snyder as "Bob"; Wild Abandon is directed by Ruis Woertendyke and features Max Woertendyke as "Steve." These solo-performer one-acts will run in conjunction. Performances begin Wednesday, January 7th for a limited run through Saturday, January 24th at Center Stage, NY (48 West 21st Street, 4th floor).

Young, fresh and fearless performers Lisa Snyder and Max Woertendyke combine unadulterated talent and ambition with an award-winning playwright's challenging, thought provoking texts. See Bob Run follows a young woman hitchhiker as she reveals stories both ghastly and charming about her past: a princess born in a pile of shit, a magic lake in a bottle and a rock song that leads to murder. As her tale unravels, the truth between the lines proves her to be anything but an ordinary girl. Wild Abandon is play about Steve, a man who thinks he's alone in the world. Steve is the guide on a dark, introspective journey that is visceral, humbling and hilarious, from dancing to crazy women to a guy named Crab.

Daniel MacIvor is a prolific Canadian playwright and a cult favorite of the last decade. The New York Times has called his work "Dazzlingly entertaining!... A triumph of formal experimentation that is slyly witty, unexpectedly suspenseful, timeless as the battle of the sexes and as quick and forceful as a heavyweight's jab," and has cited him as a "discovery waiting to be discovered." His play Never Swim Alone was one of the biggest hits in the history of the New York International Fringe Festival. MacIvor recently won the coveted Siminovitch Prize in Theatre.

The creative team includes conceptual artist Lia Woertendyke (set), Dana Caputo (lights) and Benjamin Manglos (sound).
