All Shows at: The Richmond Shepard Theatre (309 East 26th Street at Second Ave.) Jimmy Porter is an embittered and passionate young man who spends his time running a sweets stall at the local market, playing a little jazz at night, and doing his best to destroy anyone who gets too close. In a country of faded glories and gray horizons, caught between a past he despises and a future he can’t fully fathom, Jimmy’s got plenty of spite and sarcasm to go around: for his wife, Alison, shuffling between submission and defiance, and his best friend Cliff, who tries his best to figure out what makes him tick. With the arrival of Helena, an actress with a passion to match Jimmy’s, their worlds begin to spin out of control, as they look for excuses to rage, look for reasons to go on, and finally Look Back in Anger.
