This American Blonde Actress and Mississippi Mud Productions announce the world premiere of CHARLIE AND SHARON, a fantastical tragical comical haunting, in NYC June 2 running through June 19. It is created and performed by This American Blonde Actress, Jen Danby and Daniel Delano. 1960s Actress and Icon Sharon Tate, most famous for the role of Jennifer North in VALLEY OF THE DOLLS (1967), for which she received a Golden Globe nomination, faces ex-convict and leader of a "Family" of followers, Charlie Manson. Manson sent members of his "Manson Family" to Ms. Tate's Benedict Canyon home in Beverly Hills LA, where on August 9, 1969, they murdered her along with four others. In this play, he has to face her and she him after the murders that night. It is Japanese Noh style otherworldly. Who she is inside and outside is untouched and pure and therefore a force. He is the force of what he is and Charlie meets Sharon face-to-face. Directed by Obie-winning, Tony-nominated, and Drama Desk Winner Austin Pendleton.
